First look: 2025 Aprilia RSV4
The 2025 Aprilia RSV4 Factory is a true testament to the Italian marque's relentless pursuit of perfection in the world of high-performance motorcycles. Boasting a potent engine, razor-sharp handling, and a striking design, this new model is poised to redefine the boundaries of what a production motorcycle can achieve on road and track.
The new model has tech and aero package directly inspired by Aprilia's MotoGP project.
The clever boffins at Noale claim that this 217bhp V4 monster can accurately predict the electronic adjustments required as you ride.
The latest Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) system includes a new predictive function. Using data from the bike's six-axis IMU and other inputs like speed, gear, and throttle position, the wheelie control, traction control, and yaw control features can anticipate when intervention is needed, rather than just reacting.
Aprilia says this makes the system's interventions smoother and more precise. The advanced software also continuously analyses the rider's style and the bike's response, allowing it to provide a more refined and precise level of input and control.
In addition, APRC offers impressive features. Aprilia Traction Control can be adjusted on-the-fly without closing the throttle, with eight levels, and works with a new Aprilia Slide Control feature that has three levels of intervention and is also predictive.
The 2025 Aprilia RSV4 Factory has impressive electronic features, including a new Aprilia Wheelie Control with three sensitivity levels, three-level cornering ABS, three power modes, and three levels of Aprilia Engine Map and Engine Brake. It also has an up/down quickshifter.
The Factory model comes with lightweight forged wheels and semi-active Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension that can be adjusted on a corner-by-corner basis using the GPS module in the standard Race Pack. This allows you to alter the suspension, traction control, and wheelie control based on the bike's location on the circuit, by linking it to Aprilia's MIA multimedia platform.
The V4 engine is now Euro5+ compliant, producing a claimed 217bhp and 92.3ft.lb of torque thanks to new throttle bodies and an updated exhaust. Brembo's latest Hypure calipers replace the previous Stylema units.
The aero package has also been enhanced, using Aprilia's MotoGP expertise. The RSV4 now features two stacked wings on the front fairing to increase downforce at speed, and a new fairing and tail design that reduces drag by 6% and wheelie tendency by 8% compared to the outgoing model.
The RSV4 Factory comes with a range of rider-friendly features, including backlit switchgear, cornering lights, cruise control, and a revised 5-inch TFT color dashboard. It will be available in a single color scheme, Dark Kraken
Aprilia also offers a comprehensive range of accessories, including carbon fiber components, tire pressure monitors, and an SC Project slip-on exhaust.
Alongside the RSV4 Factory, Aprilia continues to produce the lower-spec RSV4 model. This shares the same 217bhp V4 engine and chassis, but with fully-adjustable Sachs suspension and cast wheels instead of the Factory's semi-active Öhlins and lightweight forged wheels. While the RSV4 comes with the APRC system as standard, not all of its advanced functions are enabled by default. Owners will need to pay to activate certain features that are included as standard on the Factory model.
The standard RSV4 model comes with variable-level angle-responsive ABS, traction control, wheelie control, a quickshifter, and three power modes. However, the advanced predictive-linked features like Aprilia Slide Control are part of the optional Track Pack. Similarly, cornering lights and cruise control are included in the Comfort Pack, while the Race Pack adds corner-by-corner adjustability of the bike's electronics. These optional packs can be purchased to activate the additional features, similar to KTM's approach with electronic upgrades.
The RSV4 shares the same 5-inch TFT dashboard and backlit switchgear as the Factory model. It is available in two color options: Poison Yellow and Stingray Blue. Pricing and availability for both the bikes and accessory packs are yet to be confirmed.
